Report: Metro-North Seeks Parking Fee Hike
NEW YORK ― Thousands of commuters who drive to the train station may soon have to pay more to park.
The Wall Street Journal reports Metro-North was asking the MTA Board to approve a plan to raise parking fees an average of 14.5-percent.
The hike would affect dozens of MTA-owned lots and garages north of New York City.
The Long Island Railroad was also seeking to raise parking fees more than 20-percent at garages in Mineola and Ronkonkoma.
