Rapper Jim Jones Facing Disorderly Conduct Charge
FAIR LAWN, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) - Rapper Jim Jones was arrested after police said he became belligerent with officers.
Jones, 36, was charged with disorderly conduct and hindering apprehension on Wednesday in Fair Lawn, N.J., where he lives.
Police said they were questioning Jones about a ticketed car they were trying to tow. Jones agreed to pay the fee but allegedly became upset when questioned about prior warrants for failing to shovel a sidewalk and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle.
He posted bail on the warrants and has a Feb. 27 court date.
Jones is the co-CEO of Diplomat Records and is best known for his 2007 song "We Fly High."
