NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- New York Rangers President and general manager Glen Sather announced the re-signing of forward Mats Zuccarello on Tuesday.
The Norwegian forward played in 15 games for the Rangers last season, scoring three goals and dishing out five assists. The three-year veteran also netted a goal and tallied six assists in 12 postseason games, ranking him second amongst Rangers last year for postseason points and assists.
In his three years as a Ranger, the 25-year-old has skated in 67 regular-season games and has recorded 34 career points. Zuccarello signed with the team on May 26, 2010, as an undrafted free agent after his MVP season with the Swedish Elite League (SEL), where he scored 64 points in 55 contests in the 2009-10 season.
After the re-signing of Zuccarello, Derek Stepan remains the only Rangers' unrestricted free agent who has yet to be signed.
