CBS2 Exclusive: Brothers Targeted In Queens Knockout Robbery
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A sucker-punch robbery was caught on camera, and as police searched for the suspect, the victims said they want justice.
It was a hard and fast punch that knocked 45-year-old Antonio Calle to the ground, and out cold.
An attacker ran up alongside him and delivered the blow.
The assault happened on April 30, on Madison Street near Seneca Avenue in Ridgewood, Queens.
Speaking exclusively with CBS2's Valerie Castro, Calle explained what happened.
In Spanish, Calle said he's not sure what happened because he was walking.
His brother Hernan was by his side, he became the attacker's next victim.
Hernan told CBS2's Castro that he turned and saw his brother on the ground.
He said he briefly tried to fight back, but was more worried about his unconscious brother. The man robbed him before taking off.
The mugger took everything -- a cellphone and some cash.
The brothers said they hope cops find the attacker and hold him accountable for the robbery.
The important thing, Hernan said, is that he's alive.
Police said the suspect took a phone and $250.
