Power Outage Shuts Down 7 Train Between Manhattan And Queens
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Service on the 7 Train between Manhattan and Queens was suspended Saturday morning, following a power outage.
Due to the loss of power between the 42nd Street-Times Square and Queensboro Plaza stations, 7 Train service was suspended in both directions between the two stops shortly after 5 a.m., according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
Free shuttle bus service was placed into operation between Queensboro Plaza and Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue in Queens.
Customers headed to Queens from Manhattan were advised to use N train service to Queensboro Plaza, where 7 Train service was still available.
