Gate Changes Listed: 4th Floor Of Port Authority To Close For Repairs This Weekend

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) --If you plan on commuting via Port Authority this weekend, read this before you head out.

The bus terminal's fourth floor will be closed from 6 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 through 5:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7 for repairs to its concrete roadway.

Departures will be temporarily reassigned to new gates so bus service can continue without interruption.

During this time, there will be no access to gates 206 through 208, 220 through 224, and the 400 gates on the upper bus level.  The following bus routes will be temporarily assigned to new gates during the weekend:

Rockland Coach (Coach USA):  All routes will depart from the Bus Terminal's lower level south wing, Gates 9 and 11

Community Coach (Coach USA):  All routes will depart from Gate 303

Short Line (Coach USA):  All routes will depart from Gates 309 - 313

Lakeland Bus:  All routes will depart from Gates 316 and 317

NJ TRANSIT:

NJ TRANSIT Routes 111 and 115 will depart from Gate 301

NJ TRANSIT Routes 112 and 113 will depart from Gate 326

To find these gates, travelers can refer to the Port Authority Bus Terminal map at http://www.panynj.gov/bus-terminals/pabt-terminal-map.html

While these closures are in effect through the weekend, the bus terminal will suspend its normal, daily 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. gate changes.

All routes not affected by the construction will therefore remain at their original 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. gates.

Customers seeking information can speak with on duty, uniformed personnel.

The Port Authority will also alert customers through announcements at the bus terminal, via signs at key terminal locations, and with additional uniformed personnel able to answer customers' questions.

The agency also will alert the public through its electronic alerts system and social media.
