Police Questioning A Person Of Interest In Brooklyn Burning Death
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Authorities are questioning a man in connection with the burning death of a woman in a Brooklyn elevator.
NYPD spokesman Paul Browne announced that a 47-year-old man walked into a police station and told police that he had started a fire.

According to the NYPD the man made statements implicating himself and smelled of gasoline.
Doris Gillespie was burned to death inside of an elevator on Saturday afternoon.
The tragedy happened at 203 Underhill Avenue in Prospect Heights.
The victim, a single mother, lived with one of her two adult sons. Police say she was returning from a shopping trip when the elevator doors opened and the man doused her with the flammable liquid, and used a lighter to set her on fire.
The man has not yet been charged.
