NYPD Searching For Pair Wanted In String Of Lower Manhattan Business Robberies

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspects wanted for three commercial robberies within the confines of the 1st and 6th precincts.

On Oct. 13, 2011 at 2:45 p.m., the suspects entered the Pleasure Chest located at 156 7th Avenue and grabbed an employee while simulating having a firearm. Police said one suspect stated "Don't move, don't move, open the register," after which he removed money from the cash register and fled on foot.

Then on Oct. 20, the suspects entered Braccialini New York located at 436 West Broadway and displayed a silver firearm and demanded money. The employee complied and the suspects fled the location.

That same day the suspects entered EZ Pawn Corp. located at 200 West 14 St., brandished the same weapon and demanded cash and jewelry.

No one was injured in any of the incidents.

The NYPD released the following descriptions of the suspects:

Two male blacks, 25-35 years old. One is 5-foot-5 to 5-7 with a thin to medium build. The other is around 6-foot with a thin to medium build and was last seen wearing a green baseball cap.
