The massive selection of oysters at Soho's Aquagrill are hand-shucked in front of you before they are served alongside a perfect mignonette sauce. With a selection of more than a dozen different types of oysters from both the east and west coasts, there's something for everyone here. Their oyster bar opens at noon daily.
The flagship of the Bromberg Bros. Blue Ribbon empire is often a late-night hangout for chefs and restaurant industry folks from all over the city. The incredibly fresh oysters, expertly shucked, are one of the main attractions for its picky patronage of chefs and foodies.
Grand Central Oyster Bar has mastered the art of selling super-fresh, reasonably priced oysters from both the East and West Coasts. It's no surprise since they've been around since 1913 and are one of the oldest remaining oyster bars in the city. Their enormous selection changes daily.
The small but expertly chosen selection of oysters at this Brooklyn brasserie are some of the best you'll taste in the city. Served up with mignonette sauce and lemon wedges, the freshness of the oysters at Marlow & Sons is second to none.
This sister restaurant to the East Village's beloved seafood shanty, The Mermaid Inn (see below), is serving up some serious oysters. Its wide selection ranges from Wellfleet, to Kunamomo, to Hama Hama.
