3/31 CBS2 Thursday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis

We'll see mostly to party sunny skies this afternoon, with a blustery wind out of the south and southwest. Temperatures will spike at around 70 degrees -- which is normal for mid May! Along the coast, though, temps will be a little cooler in the 60s and 50s.

There's a chance of showers  later this evening with showers more likely into the overnight hours could even see some storms rumble through towards daybreak. Lows will be in the upper 50s.

Rounds of showers and storms are expected through the day tomorrow. It will still be rather warm though, with temperatures climbing into the low 70s! And as of now, it looks like activity will die down later in the afternoon and into the evening.

Cooler air will fill in on Saturday, but the tail end of the aforementioned system will attempt to graze us as it passes offshore. That said, we're leaving in a rain chance for much of the area... will have to keep an eye on this the next couple of days.

Then, our winds will pick up Saturday night as a clipper passes to our north; colder air will rush in. So, expect a gusty Sunday morning with wind chills in the upper 20's; highs will be in the mid 40s.
