9-Year-Old Boy Who Was Heartbroken Over No-Show Birthday Party Receives Outpouring Of Support

LAKE STATION, Ind. (CBSNewYork)-- A 9-year-old boy in Indiana was left heartbroken after nobody showed up to his birthday party.

His story went viral and the outpouring has been so amazing that the young man is now giving back, CBS2's Brad Edwards reported.

Gerald Hamilton was waiting on the nine RSVPs to his birthday party, but no one showed up. He was devastated.

But after the story went viral, Gerald received gifts from all over, including tickets from Reggie Miller to an Indiana Pacers game.

Gerald wanted to share his riches after getting so much support and love from others. He's had several major brain surgeries and skull expansion surgery.

Gerald went to a school shared his gifts with kids like him. Some of the recipients were so touched they called it "a miracle."
