NJ Turnpike Crash Kills West Virginia Man
EDISON, N.J. (AP) -- A West Virginia man has been killed after his car flipped over on the New Jersey Turnpike.
State police say 22-year-old Akeem Coon of Martinsburg was driving on a southbound stretch of the highway in Edison Township early Sunday when he attempted to pass another vehicle and apparently lost control of the car.
He then swerved back to the right, hit the guard rail and the car flipped over. Coon, who was alone in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
