Nets' King On The FAN, Talks LeGrand Donation
NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Nets general manager Billy King joined Boomer & Carton to talk about New Jersey's opening night win, and his team's donation to the Eric LeGrand Believe Fund.
On the Nets' first win:
"From my point of view, I felt we needed to win that game just to send the message that it's a different year," said King.

On the Nets' $75k donation to the Eric LeGrand Believe Fund:
"We just felt that we needed to try to take the lead and do something to try to help," King said. "We're not going to let this check be the only thing we do, we're going to be out there talking about it."
"I got a call last night that after Tracy McGrady saw what we did, he donated $20,000. That's what we're trying to do, we're trying to get people to realize that this young man is going to need the support."
