Man Sought For Assault, Impersonating An Officer In Bronx Incident

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Police have released surveillance video of a man wanted in connection with an assault and police impersonation.

According to authorities, the suspect knocked on the door of 2441 Crotona Avenue in the Bronx on Oct. 30. Once he was let inside, police said he displayed a police shield and a gun and demanded money.

The victim, 41, did not comply with the request and tried to flee, police said.

The suspect then shot the man in the thigh and took off, according to police.

The victim was treated and released at St. Barnabus Hospital.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man between the ages of 30 and 35, 5'8" and 190 pounds.
