Officials: NJ Woman Found Dead In The Snow In Mahwah
MAHWAH, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- The body of a 64-year-old woman was discovered in the snow in front of a home in Mahwah, New Jersey on Monday afternoon, officials say.
The woman, identified by police as Mary Wall, was discovered by neighboring children coming home from school, WCBS 880's Peter Haskell reported. Wall was positioned in her driveway next to her car, with her body partially covered in snow, officials said.
Wall appears to have suffered from a medical emergency while shoveling the snow in her driveway, Mahwah police said.
"She was found with a snow shovel in her hand and again, she was covered in snow at the time of the discovery," Mahwah Police Sergeant Michael Blondin said.
Blondin said Wall likely died on Saturday, at the height of this weekend's winter storm, NorthJersey.com reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
