Whimsically decorated as it is, this doesn't mean Alice's Tea Cup is for children alone (though they'd certainly enjoy it as well!). Tea is definitely the focus here, and you can go savory, sweet, or both for afternoon tea. Enjoy some of their fabulous scones and pastries, the large selection of teas, or indulge in their wonderful tea sandwiches which come with the crusts cut off. Try the salmon dill spread on black bread, or the curried chicken sandwiches - truly a delight, as you sit in mismatched chairs that evoke the playfulness of the children's novel.

As classic Irish pubs go, Ulysses is right up there with the best of them. A large space split into two, open until 4am every night - unusual for the Financial District - Ulysses definitely sees its rush with the after work crowd. Don't let that fool you, though; lunch at Ulysses is quite a treat as well. Order from their carving station - check the board for daily specials - along with two sides, or have a seat and order a burger, which comes cooked to your specification and washes down well with a cold draft beer. Sit at the bar, and before long, the bartender will have heard your life story. Perhaps not everyone knows your name, but that's not always a bad thing.

Intrigue your senses with an introduction to Indonesian food, a spice-tastic - but not spicy! - cuisine that originates in the Oceanic/Southeast Asian region. If you're feeling super adventurous, order the 'nasi rames', a sampling of almost the entire menu, for $17.95, that comes with white rice and an entire tray of food. Or you can try the lunch menu, which runs from $6.95 - 8.95, and allows you to choose from such treats as curries, stir-fries, satay, all with varying levels of heat. Be sure to start with the 'sayap ayam' or fried chicken wings with spicy java soy sauce - deliciously crispy, meaty chicken that will make your taste buds sing.
