Opening Day is just a week away. The Yankees open the season against the Tigers at Yankee Stadium next Thursday, but there's still some things to sort out with the Yankees as they prepare to head north.
The fifth starter competition between Bartolo Colon and Freddy Garcia is still going on, and A.J. Burnett has been name the No. 2 starter despite a terrible 2010 season and the emergence of Phil Hughes. The leadoff role looks like it will be held by both Derek Jeter and Brett Gardner, and no one's sure who will be the backup catcher on March 31.
