Have You Seen A Stolen Pink Food Truck With Scantily Clad Women Painted On It?

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are trying to find a popular food truck that was stolen early Sunday morning.

As CBS 2's Hazel Sanchez reported, Karliin Brooks' truck, where she runs The Squeeze -- a raw food and fresh juice business -- was swiped around 3 a.m. Sunday. Brooks believes a fired ex-employee is behind the theft.

Surveillance cameras show the suspect entering a Williamsburg deli on Graham Avenue, where Brooks leaves her spare company keys. Deli workers said the man claimed to be a driver for The Squeeze, and they handed over the keys to him, no questions asked.

Brooks said she recognizes the suspect as someone she fired in June. Police have identified the man but are not releasing his name.

The man then broke into her company's warehouse down the street, Brooks said.

"Burglarized our commissary, stole a lot of equipment," she said.

The suspect then used the keys to drive the food truck out of a gated parking lot a few blocks away, Brooks said.

The truck shouldn't be too difficult to spot.

"It's a big, pink food truck," Brooks said. "Very kind of loud and ostentatious, with, you know, scantily clad women painted on the side of the truck."

The food truck usually operates out of Union Square. It has since been replaced by a less profitable cart.

"If we don't get our food truck back in the next few days, there's a very, very good chance that we're going to go into bankruptcy," Brooks said.
