Captain Victoria DePaulis with the National Guard says Gov. Cuomo wants at least 100,000 New Yorkers to take part in the Citizen Preparedness Corps Training.

"The first thing they need to walk away with is definitely the knowledge for irst an emergency preparedness plan-- talking with their families about how together should they have a disaster near their community," she said.

They're also asking residents to have their to-go bag ready and go over the state's Ebola preparedness plan online.
