Francesa Says Mets Shutting Him Out From Doing Show At Citi Field

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Mike Francesa would like to do his show from Citi Field on May 14 and May 15 for the Subway Series.

But according to the WFAN host, the Mets aren't allowing him to do so.

"We will not be at Citi Field for those two games because the Mets are not allowing us to do our show out of there," Francesa said on air on Thursday afternoon. "It's the first weekday games we've ever missed in the history of the Subway Series, where we haven't had remotes. We'll do the remotes at Yankee Stadium the first two days. The next two days we will not do the remotes from Citi Field because the Mets won't let us.

"So we will not be there. And we've never not done a remote for any weekday game in the history of the Subway Series."

Not Going To Citi Field

The first two games of the Subway Series will be played on May 12 and May 13 at Yankee Stadium. The series will then shift to Queens for two more games.

WFAN became the flagship station of the Yankees beginning in the 2014 season. Prior to that, WFAN was the flagship station of the Mets.
