Francesa: At What Point Should Mets Be Concerned?
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- When is it a bad start?
That's the question WFAN's Mike Francesa had for the Mets to open his Tuesday show.
The defending National League champs entered the season with sky-high expectations, but they're off to a 2-4 start and were walloped by the Miami Marlins 10-3 on Monday night.
Francesa said the Mets have "kind of really muddled their way through six games with poor pitching, an injury to (Jacob) deGrom, now maybe he goes on paternity leave, (Steven) Matz last night had nothing, (Matt) Harvey's been anything but impressive, the offense has been lousy, they've been in lackluster games.
"When do you want to say, 'Hey, I want this team to get serious,' 'I want this team to start to put it together'? Is it one time through the rotation? Is it 10 games? Is it if they fall four games or more behind Washington early on? I mean, what is exactly your barometer?"
