Mitt Romney is expected next month for fundraiser at the Stamford Marriott. Diners will be $2,500 a head.

Republican strategist Chris Healy says he expects Romney's presence there will put him in good shape for the April primary.

"I think Connecticut will be in play with Mitt Romney as our candidate because I think people know him from Massachusetts," he told WCBS 880 Connecticut Bureau Chief Fran Schneidau. "The governor has got a very strong operation here in Connecticut. I expect him to win the primary."

Unknown is whether any other of the GOP contenders will appear in Connecticut prior to the April 24 voting.
