Brooklyn Woman Killed After School Bus Jumps Curb
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP)-- Police say a woman has been killed after a school bus jumped a curb in Brooklyn.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Schenectady Avenue in the Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood.
The New York Police Department says the 50-year-old victim had been walking on the sidewalk when she was hit.
Investigators believe a car cut off the school bus, causing it to jump the curb and strike the woman. She died at the scene.
Police say they are still investigating. No arrests have been made.
