Man fatally shot in possible road rage incident in Brooklyn, police sources say

A man was shot and killed in Brooklyn on Friday night in what police sources say may have been a road rage incident.

Police say they got a 911 call around 10 p.m. reporting a shooting on Crescent Street near Stanley Avenue in East New York. When officers arrived, they say they found a man who had been shot in the chest.

Paramedics rushed the gunshot victim to a hospital, but he did not survive. His identity has not yet been released.

Surveillance video obtained by CBS News New York shows what appears to be two people fighting in the street, then a flash of light from an apparent gunshot. One person falls to the ground, and the other gets in a car and drives off.

Police spent hours searching the neighborhood for evidence late Friday night into Saturday morning.

The shooting happened in the 75th police precinct, where there have been 27 shooting incidents so far this year.

No arrests have been made so far.

The investigation is ongoing.
