NYPD: Man Gropes 8-Year-Old Girl At Bronx Subway Station

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The search is on for a man who allegedly groped an 8-year-old girl as she was walking with her mother inside a Bronx subway station.

It happened at the East 149th Street and Grand Concourse station between the 2 and 4 line platform around 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 2.

The girl was walking up the stairs behind her mother when the suspect inappropriately touched her from behind twice, said "sorry," and then took off, police said.

The NYPD released a sketch of the suspect who is described as an Hispanic man, approximately 30-years-old, 5'6" to 5'8" tall, 160 to 175 pounds, with straight black hair and a light goatee and beard. He was last seen wearing glasses, a blue Yankee T-shirt and black jeans.
