Police: Man Tries To Lure 12-Year-Old Girl Into Stairway In Bronx Building
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are searching for a man who they said tried to lure a 12-year-old girl from an elevator into a stairwell in the Bronx.
On July 25, police said the suspect followed the girl into an elevator in a building near 175th Street and Walton Avenue in the Mount Hope section.
He threatened to hurt her if she didn't go with him into a stairway, police said.
The girl ran off the elevator and started banging on an apartment door and yelling for help, police said.
The suspect fled the scene.
