Boomer & Carton: Jerry Updates The Game (1) That Got Away And Much More

Subscribe to the Boomer & Carton Podcast »

After dropping Game 1 in Kansas City to the Royals, the Mets find themselves trailing in a series for the first time this postseason.

Tuesday night's 5-4, 14-inning loss was Jerry Recco's lead story and he covered all the bases, if you will.

Poor Al Dukes was suffering, so he expressed his disappointment with Jeurys Familia through the power of music. In addition, David Wright sure sounded sorry for his defensive gaffe, while the Royals' Ben Zobrist has some paternity time coming to him.

And if that's not all, Jerry told us about former Met Lenny Dykstra making some damning accusations against MLB umpires, Jason-Pierre Paul reaching an incentive-laden, one-year contract with the Giants, the NBA season tipping off with three games and LeBron and the Cavs starting their campaign off with a loss.
