Check out the gluten-free friendly menu at Maite. Chef and Owner Ella Schmidt is cooking up a seasonal New American menu that reflects her Colombian-Basque heritage and love for Italian food. Enjoy starters like corn flour Empanaditas with rotating fillings like pork cheek, beef tongue, or duck confit (served with a spicy Aji pepper sauce) or Watermelon Radishes rubbed with honey and then grilled and served with Prairie Breeze cheddar, shaved black truffles, and sprinkled with Maldon sea salt. The Lamb Chop with apple and quince jam is another tasty choice while the Duck Egg perched on a thick Colombian-style arepa will melt in your mouth thanks to it being filled with tangy melted Pennsylvania Dutch gouda. Yum.
