Police: Man Seriously Damaged Fire Vehicle In North Bellmore

NORTH BELLMORE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Nassau County police on Thursday were searching for a suspect who seriously damaged a fire department vehicle, as well as landscaping in front of the firehouse, in North Bellmore.

Around 4:15 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, the suspected vandal was in front of the North Bellmore Fire House at 1500 Newbridge Rd, when he damaged the fire vehicle, flowers, and landscaping bricks, police said.

Photos from the scene showed the fire vehicle covered with dirt from a plant, and the landscaping bricks strewn around the ground.

Police released two surveillance images of the suspect.
