B&C Morning Show: Yankees Are 'In Like Flynn' Up In Boston
The Yankees handed the Red Sox a 5-2 loss up in Beantown last night, but the win did not come without incident.
After taking John Lackey deep over the Green Monster in the 5th, Francisco Cervelli was plunked leading off the top of the 7th. That led to tempers flairing in Fenway (and something to talk about today).
Craig the Yankees fan was all fired up, emphatically stating the juice is clearly back in the Yankees-Red Series and for that he is thankful.
CC Sabathia got his first win against Boston this season, after losing his previous four starts against the Red Sox. The 'hefty-lefty' threw 128 pitches in his 6 innings of work and on a night that he didn't have his best stuff he was able to gut it out and earn his 18th win of the season.
Boomer and Craig praised Sabathia's effort and Craigie claimed a message was sent by the Bombers to their AL East rivals.
Then while talking about Boomer's home security issues, a debate broke out regarding the saying "In like flynn." Boomer was under the impression the expression was actually "In like flint," but was quickly proven wrong...
