B&C Morning Show: Mets Win Yet Again

The Mets continued their winning ways after a thrilling come-from-behind win over the Washington Nationals last night.  It was the Mets' 6th win in a row, which means if they beat the Nats again tonight, Craig promises to "work Boomer like a rib."

With the win the Mets move out of last place in the NL East and closer to the .500 mark with a record of 11-13.  Daniel Murphy didn't get the start last night, but managed to make the most of his two at-bats, hitting a game-tying, pinch-hit home run in the 8th -- and a 2-run double in the 9th.  Boomer & Craig couldn't be happier for the 26 year-old 2nd baseman.

The Yankees avoided a 3-game losing streak thanks to a 3-run, 1st inning homer courtesy of Robinson Cano, "Don't Ya' Know," and another solid pitching performance from Bartolo Colon.  The Yanks beat the White Sox 3-1 and Yankees fans can collectively breath a sigh of relief as Mariano Rivera nailed it down with his 8th save of the season.

Some other news from Yankee land, as the reports on Phil Hughes and his arm troubles are not good.  It's now speculated to be a circulation problem, a low-level risk of thoracic outlet syndrome.  Coincidentally, Craig once suffered from the same ailment and he offered his take on the subject...
