B&C Morning Show: Mets' Problems Keep Mounting
The Mets got a decent start from "#1 Starter" Mike Pelfrey. He allowed four runs (three earned) but left the game after throwing 113 pitches in just 5 1/3 innings, which opened the door (literally) to the Mets' bullpen. The "Amazin's" rolled out five relievers in all but it was the performance of Bobby Parnell that left a lasting impression.
So after Boomer expressed his desire to put his Alex Ovechkin jersey on ice before the Rangers take on the Capitals Wednesday night in Washington, the guys directed their attention on the comedy of errors that is the Mets' bullpen.
Boomer & Craig were both in agreement that Terry Collins is not responsible for their losing ways, choosing rather to place blame on the players, who they say need to be held accountable.
After last night's action on the hardwood, the Knicks found out that they will be facing the Boston Celtics in the First Round of the NBA Playoffs. Craig says bring 'em on.
So there you have it, a Tuesday morning that opens with a thud as far as Mets fans are concerned...
