B&C Morning Show: Giants Fans, Let's Get It On!
We are now just two days away from the Giants-Packers Divisional Round showdown in Green Bay, so with that in mind Boomer & Craig opened up today's Football Friday edition of the Morning Extravaganza with a heavy dose of talk about the huge opportunity in front of Tom Coughlin's 'Big Blue Crew.'
Despite the huge obstacle that is Aaron Rodgers and the high-octane offense of the Packers, the general consensus among Giants fans is that they are going to emerge from Lambeau Field with a victory and start making plans for a trip to the NFC Championship against either the 49ers or the Saints.
Craig likes the confidence on display, but seemed rather certain the Giants can not - and will not - win the game.
Boomer took more of an analytical approach, pointing to the key match-ups.
Speaking of those match-ups, Packers nose-tackle BJ Raji said the Giants' offensive line is 'not the toughest group.' A comment sure to ruffle a few feathers.
The guys had a brief discussion about the forecast in Green Bay for Sunday after they were mislead by Al Dukes. During the conversation, we learned that Boomer preferred playing in cold weather, because he is a man. Al - who is significantly less of a man - dared to question Boomer's toughness, then teamed-up with 'the' Eddie Scozzare and the two had the gall to take a shot at the Booms by bringing up a particularly foggy time of his career.
The Knicks got thumped in Memphis by the Grizzles - and the loss reminded Boomer & Craig just how far away this Knicks team is from where they need to be. Adding insult to injury, Carmelo Anthony left the game early in the 2nd quarter with what is being called a sprained right ankle.
Then the guys opened-up the phone lines and were treated to a fella named Chris who called in to point out that Boomer has an abnormally large cranium, before a high school 'state champion' who calls himself 'Crusher' wished harm upon poor Craigie.
Crusher's call actually set Craig off on a tirade about private schools and that is how today's radio program began...
