B&C Morning Show: Giants Come Up Empty

The Giants entered last night's game with the Philadelphia Eagles in a pretty good place.  With a win they would have pretty much buried the Eagles and kept their spot atop the NFC East.

But the Giants didn't win and now their future is suddenly pretty cloudy.

Jerry Recco's first update focused primarily on the Giants' 17-10 loss to the Vince Young-led Eagles.

We heard from some upset Giants, beginning with their head coach Tom Coughlin.  In addition to Coughlin, we heard Mathias Kiwanuka tell it like it is, Prince Amukamara - who made his NFL debut and had an interception - use the adjective inexcusable when describing his unit's 4th quarter performance.  Hakeem Nicks talked about being outplayed, Chris Snee said the offense 'sucked' and Brandon Jacobs talks about his adoring fans.

We also got to hear from Eagles head coach And Reid and his QB Vince Young - who although didn't play well for the majority of the game - he certainly came-up big when he had to.

The Giants dropped to 6-4 with the loss, which ties them with the Cowboys atop the NFC East and they will travel to New Orleans to play the Saints Monday night.

Plus, Jerry took a quick look at the rest of the NFL scores and even provided some more proof of Danny White jumping Kevin Burkhardt's play-by-play calls, Boston Red Show to meet with Booby Valentine about their vacant manager's job, Phillies acquire Ty Wigginton and Islanders-Penguins tonight (Sidney Crosby makes his return to his ice)...
