In the NHL, Tampa Bay sweeps Washington out of the playoffs with a 5-3 win. Boston is on the verge of eliminating Philadelphia after a 5-1 drubbing, and San Jose takes a 3-0 series lead over Detroit with a 4-3 win in OT.
