Jerry Recco got right down to business when delivering his first update this Thursday morning, starting with the reaction from Mike D'Antoni's 'resignation' from the Knicks and his old team's 42-point pasting of the Portland Trailblazers, which leaves the Knicks in a tie with Milwaukee for the 8th seed in the East.
We were also treated to Magic center Dwight Howard talking about himself in the third-person, which is always fun to listen to. Boomer took the opportunity to state what he believes is wrong with the NBA, telling David Stern he should be embarrassed by what the league has turned into. Rounding out the NBA, Jerry proudly reported that the Nets beat the Raptors 98-84.
Plus, an NCAA Tourney update as both Vermont and South Florida advanced with wins last night, some free agent signings in the NFL, highlighted by Calvin Johnson inking an 8-year, $132 million ($60 million guaranteed) contract. The Giants sign TE Martellus Bennett and the Jets resigned K Nick Folk.
