B&C Morning Show: Bob Ojeda Spills The Beans On Jason Bay
With the Mets taking part in their spring training activities down in Port St. Lucie, Al Dukes booked Bob Ojeda - who just returned from Florida - to come on and chat with Boomer & Craig about all that is going on, first and foremost the story that links Ike Davis and the rare 'Valley Fever.'
Ojeda was happy to report that from what he saw, camp is going very well. He offered a brief take on the Mets' financial problems, admitting that he knows very little about the details. When the subject of Citi Field's new dimensions came up, Ojeda had a very interesting take that he shared, citing former Mets manager Jerry Manuel for the well-documented struggles of one Jason Bay.
As they were saying goodbye, the guys ran a few promotional ideas with the hopes that Ojeda would pass them along to the Mets brass. They also asked the left-hander what he is 'benchin' these days' and he managed to sneak in that he can drive a golf ball upwards of 320 yards...
