B&C Morning Show: Big Blue Beaten Down In The Big Easy
Tom Coughlin and his Big Blue crew took their act to New Orleans last night where Drew Brees and the Saints made easy work of them in a 49-24 rout.
Although the loss doesn't officially eliminate the 6-5 Giants from playoff contention, it certainly makes their quest a lot more difficult. Making matters even worse, the Giants' next opponent have not lost a game this season - I'm talking of course about the Green Bay Packers, who will enter Sunday's game at Metlife Stadium with a perfect 11-0 record.
As he has done in the past, Craig dismissed the Giants' slim chances and declared Big Blue to be done.
Boomer described last night's Giants loss in the 'Big Easy' as an 'ass-kicking' and pointed to Eli Manning's 1st quarter interception as an early turning point.
Eli did throw for 406 yards and 2 touchdowns - both TD's to Victor Cruz (9 receptions - 157 yards), so the passing game wasn't the problem. On the ground they managed just 73 yards on 22 carries, led by Brandon Jacobs who unveiled a new TD celebration dance in the 3rd quarter when his team trailed 21-9 (extra point was still pending).
So it was a Big 'Blue Tuesday' for Giants fans and Boomer & Craig break down what has led them to their somber state...
