B&C Morning Show: Be Careful What You Wish For; Giants Have No Chance At All
It appears that select Giants players and fans will get their wish, as all indications are that Michael Vick will be under center this Sunday when New York takes the field in Philadelphia to take on the Eagles in an early season NFC East Showdown of epic proportions.
Craig says there is absolutely no way the Giants can go to Philly and leave with a win. Boomer didn't offer much in the way of comfort either for fans of Big Blue, pointing to the fact that the Giants have allowed 1,536 passing yards over their last 4 regular season games dating back to last year.
So I guess it's fair to say that if you're a Giants fan, you're probably not too happy with the Dynamic Radio Duo this morning, but hey, that's life.
Now, no one knows what will happen for sure, although Craig is fairly certain the Eagles will explode for at least 40 points on Sunday and summed up the conversation buying saying simply, 'Giants fans are screwed.'
As for Rex's Gang Green, Craig is fairly confident in the Jets' chances of going to the 'Black Hole' and escaping with a win against the Raiders. He has some pretty lofty expectations for the duo of Mark Sanchez & Plaxico Burress.
The guys also spent some time talking about Russell Martin's 'I hate the Red Sox' comments, as they pertain to the state of the Yankees locker room before Craigie complained to Boomer about the painful shin splints he is suffering from after an afternoon on the hardwood with other Jewish men over the age of 40.
In an attempt to help poor Craigie out, Boomer is planning a spinning date for him and his 'best-friend' Craig Carton this Monday. Craig agreed to accompany the Blonde Bomber, but did express concern that Boomer might break a bike, as he did during the Great South Bay Triathlon back in June. Eddie & Al captured the moment perfectly by playing a little Queen - 'Bicycle'...
