B&C Morning Show: A Monday Morning Update From Jerry Recco

Coming back from break, Craig labeled the Giants as an average team with a lousy defense.  Boomer tried to play 'devils advocate' and point to the fact that the Giants only allowed 23 points, which in today's high-scoring NFL is not so bad.

Craig wasn't hearing it though, going on to inform fans of Big Blue that they should start getting used to the fact that their team is not very good.

Jerry Recco is a Dallas Cowboys fan, so he enjoyed listening to Craig's soliloquy about the Giants, who will need to beat both the Jets and Jerry's Cowboys to make the playoffs.  With that said, Jerry began his update with a grin with the Jets' embarrassing 45-19 loss in Philadelphia to the Eagles.  LeSean McCoy rushed for count 'em, 3 TD's and Jerry played the second one where radio PBP man Merrill Reese (WIP in Philly) referred to McCoy as 'Shady McCoy.'

We also got to hear from Rex Ryan on what happened to his defense against the high powered Eagles.  Mike Divito was heard on SNY talking about Gang Green's confidence.  Santonio Holmes had a forgettable performance, but did manage to score a TD and follow that up with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

The Giants played at 1 p.m. and their effort against the Redskins was good for a 23-10 loss and the game wasn't even that close.  Thanks to Jerry we learned that Giants radio play-by-play man Bob Papa loves it when you call him Bob Papa - which is good information to have.

Hakeem Nicks talked about human beings' inability to control the sun, Eli Manning about missing opportunities, Chris Canty (with his mouth full of food) about being embarrassed, Brandon Jacobs about being confused regarding his team's playoff scenario, Antrel Rolle about being Antrel Rolle and Tom Coughlin about his own responsibilities.

Jerry then moved on to the rest of the NFL as Aaron Rodgers and the Packers were upset by the Chiefs  19-14s, the 'Mile High Messiah' Tim Tebow gets a does of reality from Bill Belichick, Tom Brady & company as the Pats clinched the AFC East with the 41-23 win over the Broncos.  Drew Brees reminded everyone that he is still pretty good by throwing for 412 yards and 5 TD's against the Vikings and the Chargers beat the Ravens 34-14.

From the NBA, the Knicks will sign guard Baron Davis and then wait for his bad back to heal...
