Amstel Lights Up Stone Street Thursday With Beer Bike Celebration
By Selena Ricks-Good
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Amstel Light is kicking off Memorial Day weekend on Stone Street by wheeling its 10-seat beer bike into town Thursday night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Of course, there will be plenty of suds on hand too.

Although you won't actually get to ride the beer bike—organizers say the area's cobblestone streets would make that logistically difficult—you can have your picture taken with it. The event will have a Wall Street theme, turning Stone Street into a "bier market" to mark the finance industry's slowdown for the summer.
"It's been a bit of a tough year and tough market [for Wall Street]," said Amanda Hawk, Amstel Light brand director. "It's a nice way to kick off the summertime."
Stone Street will be decorated with red lanterns and banners, and "trading tickets" will be handed out to passersby good for one Amstel Light at participating bars, including Stone Street Tavern, The Dubliner, Ulysses' and Beckett's Bar & Grill.
As a bonus: Everyone who gets a photo taken with their Amstel Light will receive a free pair of red Wayfarer-style sunglasses—just in time for the sun's reappearance.
