9/9 CBS2 Wednesday Morning Weather Headlines

Good morning all,

Hot again! We only bottomed out early this morning with temps in the 70s around the five boroughs!

The heat is on for one more day. The cold front is close enough today that we could see a few showers spit ahead of it. Any storm could be good soaker overnight tonight, but prior to that, expect only a quick shower.

Some moderate to heavy rain will be possible Thursday morning, but a better bet is during the afternoon hours near the coast. 1-2" is likely with up to 3" possible (even more) if showers train over one spot.

We do finally cool down Friday in the low 80s and Saturday is sunny and cool around 80 degrees.
