9/4 CBS2 Sunday Evening Weather Headlines
By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer
Well it looks like Hermine got a bit farther out to sea before slowing down, so the good news is that the risk for damaging surge & winds is slightly reduced. That being said it's still a large, powerful, and dangerous storm which will be sending a long duration of water into our area shorelines... so life-threatening rip currents and beach erosion are likely.

Expect a chance for showers tonight and tomorrow with strong winds gusting 45 to 55mph at times-- those highest gusts will be at the beaches. We're not expecting too much rain but it'll be a windy, warm, muggy day with temps around 80 and mostly cloudy skies.

It'll be a bit warmer on Tuesday with temps in the low-mid 80s, but there will still be the threat from Hermine at the local beaches. It doesn't look like it moves completely out of our area until late Wednesday.
Stay tuned and stay safe!
