9/4 CBS2 Friday & Holiday Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis
CBS2 Meteorologist

It won't be as hot as it's been in recent days -- in fact, we're only looking to top out in the low 80s today because of the onshore winds and added cloud cover. And for the folks inland, we can't even rule out a little much-needed rain (but don't expect a washout).

Our skies will clear up a bit tonight as high pressure eases its way in. It will be a bit cooler, too, than it was last night -- by about 10-15°.

High pressure will then anchor itself nearly overhead through the weekend, so the story will be this: sunshine (and lots of it!). As for temperatures, they'll be on the rise: low 80s tomorrow and upper 80s by Labor Day.

Enjoy your holiday weekend!
