8/31 Monday Morning CBS2 Weather Headlines

Good Monday morning! It's gonna be a hot one today, and the month of August will finish above normal in the temps department. We'll see high temps into the 90s and it'll be much more humid too. Just like yesterday, there's a chance for a few widely scattered showers north/west of NYC, but for the most part expect partly sunny skies... and feeling like a sauna!

We'll kick off September with a real sizzler, and it'll stay sizzlin' through most of the week! As a matter of fact, it looks like we'll notch our second official heat wave of the summer. Looks like it'll be mainly dry for most, and the next chance for "relief" comes Friday as a front approaches the area... but we'll only drop into the mid/upper 80s next weekend.
