Good morning, everyone! The dog days of summer continue and in fact, today even looks a little hotter than yesterday! We're expecting a high of 94 in the city, but with the oppressive humidity it'll feel more like 105-110 this afternoon. Be sure to limit time outdoors and if you are outside, stay hydrated and take frequent breaks. An Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect for much of the area through the weekend.

Of course with the heat comes the storms. We'll see a similar day both today and tomorrow with storms popping, mainly in the afternoon and evening. The air is loaded with moisture and instability, so any storm can be on the strong side with heavy rain and gusty winds.

It looks like we'll get the temps down a little to start the work week, but not by much... upper 80s to around 90. The humidity hangs around though. Keep cool and grab the umbrella as we're stuck in this stagnant pattern. Have a good weekend!
