8 NYC Restaurants For Moules Frites Dinner Deals
Moules Frites is a popular Belgian dish with a French name -- and it's picking up quite a fan base in New York City, where many refer to meal the American way: Mussels and fries. Whatever you want to call it, these restaurants are doing it right. By Sarah Shaker.

The recently renovated and reopened Flea Market Bistro in the East Village offers Unlimited Mussels & Frites five days a week. From Sunday through Thursday, starting at 5 p.m. until midnight, choose from three styles (Pastis, Aux Fromage and Provencal) at $18 per person. To compliment their mussels deal, happy hour is two-for-one per person on any drink in the house until 8 p.m.
Make Tuesday a more memorable weekday with a $14 all-you-can-eat mussel deal at a dimly lit French bistro in Fort Greene. Known as 'Moules-à-gogo' at Chez Oskar, diners can choose between garlic with white wine and shallots or a creamy moules la moutarde. Both mussel bowls are served with a plate of fries. This deal is good all night long, so Tuesday can easily by your new late night date night.
Known for their long list of over twenty delicious mussel plates, Flex offers happy hour deals all year long at both NYC locations. For the summer season, they're running a new special during happy hour with two pots of mussels (your choice of Classic, Fra Diavolo, Dijon and Provencal) with fries for $25. During the winter, look out for their unlimited mussels and fries deal to rotate back in to keep you warm (and very full) during the chilliest months.
Sundays through Thursdays from 5:30-7pm, head to the Upper East Side to enjoy a heaping pot of Moules Frites with a draft beer of your choice for $22. Choose from a selection of broths on Jacques Brasserie's menu, including Marinieres (Chardonnay, garlic, parsley) and Dijonnaise (mustard, shallots, garlic). This heavy meal is a great deal for the price - piles of mussels, fries, a beer and fresh out of the oven bread for dipping into the flavorful mussel broth will keep you stuffed at under $30 per person.
Every Thursday you can indulge in unlimited mussels at Lola BKLYN for only $15 per person. Choose from four flavors, currently Coconut Curry, Creamy Pesto, Mole and White Wine and Shallots, all served with handcut French fries. The dinner menu also has an array of sharable plates, like nontraditional Meatballs in a trio of Bison, Salmon and Garbanzo, and Duck Poutine covering fries with shredded duck confit, cheese curds and gravy.
Pig out on all-you-can-eat mussels at Poco on Wednesdays, with $25 endless Steamed Prince Edward Island Mussels are paired with house red and white wine. There's also a $15 bottle of wine with dinner deal on hump day to get through the rest of the workweek. Poco is one of our favorites for a boozy brunch in Manhattan, so add this East Village restaurant to your go-to dining list.
On any night of the week, enjoy 2 lbs. of mussels served with frites at BXL East cooked in a long list of sauces including Marinières (white wine shallot broth), Vin Blanc et Crème (white wine and cream), A la Witte (Belgian wheat beer), Provençale (tomato, garlic and fresh basil) and Thailandaise (coconut milk, lemon grass and curry) just to name a few. On Sunday and Monday nights, enjoy all-you-can-eat moules, to really get your fill in!
Enjoy all-you-can-eat mussels with a beer for $27 on Wednesdays at Petite Abeille. Their "Moules A Go Go" deal is offered at all four NYC locations. Other weekly deals worth noting are Thursday's Lobster Night, when a 1-¼ pound lobster is $27 and Wined Up Tuesdays for the 1/2 priced bottles of wine.
