7/8 CBS2 Friday Afternoon Weather Headlines

Justin Lewis
CBS2 Meteorologist

It will be hot and muggy again with highs approaching the 90° mark. But remember, it's going to feel even hotter than that because of the humidity -- more like 95+°. In addition to the heat, we'll be dealing with some showers and storms. The focus of the activity will be more to the west the first half of the afternoon with a better chance around here late in the day.

Some showers and storms will push through tonight. And there could be some soakers out there, so be careful if you're out and about.

Tomorrow will feature even more cloud cover and cooler temps -- we'll be struggling to get out of the 70's if you can believe it. It will still be a bit unsettled out there as well with showers and thunderstorms expected.

We'll start to see some clearing on your Sunday, but there will be some leftover showers, especially to our north and east. Expect a little more in the way of sunshine, decreasing humidity, and highs in the mid 80's.
