NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A 5-year-old boy died Sunday after falling out a third floor window in Queens.

Police said the boy was being watched by his grandparents on the second floor of a building on 99th Street at the time. He was using a bathroom on the third floor when he fell around 2:40 p.m.

The child was taken to New York-Presbyterian where he was pronounced dead.

His death is under investigation.
