4/2 CBS2 Saturday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

What a difference a day makes! We had temps near 80 yesterday with some strong storms, and now we're talking about the chance for some snow tonight!

Expect a mix of rain & snow overnight, more in the way of snow over the Catskills. Not looking like too much snow, perhaps 1-2 inches far NW of NYC, but the winds and the cold will be the main story. Winds will ramp up through the night and the morning and, in fact, many folks are under some type of wind alert... gusts up to 60 m.p.h. are possible!

Evening Wind Alerts

We'll get some sunshine by tomorrow afternoon, but we'll only top out in the low 40s - if we're lucky - so those chilly temps along with strong winds will make for wind chills in the 20s! Make sure you bundle up  tomorrow because it sure will feel like winter.

Evening Wind Chills

Monday looks like another rainy day but temps should warm into the low 50s by afternoon, and winds should be much weaker as well. Just be sure to take extra time heading back to work or school!
